Naive Reading in the NY Times

Interesting take on reading and criticism in the New York Times, especially in light of what we saw in the Ross readings two weeks ago. I tend to agree, but largely because I'm a resolutely naive reader. I'll also note that naive reading would seem neutral with regard to the type of literature. That is, naive reading may well be (and in my view generally is) the best approach to demanding texts.
